Our office in Butte Montana is looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper dental hygiene techniques.
Duties: Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal therapy for patients. Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting findings. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.

Hours – Office is open 7-3 Monday through Thursday. We are flexible on days/hours that would work. We have a full schedule of patients ready for you but understand that work/life balance is important so full or part time is up to you.

JOB SPECIFICS/EXPECTATIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES • Full time hours: Monday-Thursday, 8-4 with a 7:30am office arrival time. • Be a team player – be willing to go above and beyond! • Be punctual • Have an active Hygiene license and be in good standing within the profession • Review the daily schedule and work with the administrative assistant for templated patient scheduling • Review patient health and dental history forms and update as necessary • Accurately chart each patient’s periodontal health • Perform thorough and gentle prophylaxis for patients • Perform scaling, root planing and selective polishing for patients as appropriate • When applicable, administer local anesthetic • Place medicaments subgingivally for periodontal disease treatment • Educate and take radiographs of patients as prescribed by dentist • Apply cavity-preventive agents, such as fluorides and sealants • Communicate with patients in an understandable and professional way • Accurately and appropriately record provided treatment • Teach proper oral hygiene techniques to patients and counsel patients on oral health, including the role of nutrition • Perform other tasks assigned by the dentist • Follow OSHA regulations with regard to operatory cleanliness/disinfection, equipment operation, as well as sterilization procedures.
