Job Overview

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs.
  • Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
  • Document patient treatments and progress accurately in the electronic health record system, preferably Eaglesoft.
  • Assist in the management of the dental clinic environment, ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  • Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

  • Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
  • Experience in general dentistry; pediatric dentistry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and documentation review processes.
  • Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques within a dental clinic setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
  • Knowledge of SoftDent or similar dental management software is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care while maintaining a positive attitude within the team environment.

Schedule

  • We currently have both full and part time shifts available, ranging 2-4 days per week. Hours of operation are 7am to 3pm; and we are closed for all major holidays.

Pay: $45.00 – $50.00 per hour, PLUS A DAILY BONUS PROGRAM
